Last evening a concert was held to celebrate the life, songs and poetry of Leonard Cohen. Entitled Tower of Song: A Memorial Tribute to Leonard Cohen, the concert brought closure to the beloved artist’s passing one year ago. Fans and performers from around the world came to Montréal, Leonard’s home town, to pay tribute.
My wife Brenda is a great Leonard Cohen fan and attended last evening’s tribute concert at the Bell Centre in Montreal. I flew her all-time favourite CD in space with me during my ISS expedition.
In 2009, when Leonard was celebrating his 75th birthday, I took the opportunity to pay tribute of my own. I made a video from space to honour the great Canadian. I think you might enjoy viewing it below.
